The Muses Collection: It's Personal

I’ve always been curious about what happens behind the veil. Not the performance, but the in-between. The quiet moments. The decisions no one sees. I think that started early. I’m an 80s baby, through and through. I was raised on women who didn’t just show up, they ARRIVED. Vanity. Whitney Houston. Janet Jackson, Madonna. There was always something bigger happening than what we were being shown. Power. Control. Intention. I didn’t just admire them, I studied them. Not the image, but the presence.
Now, it looks different. The women around me carry that same energy. Multi-hyphenates, moving between worlds without asking for permission. Building things. Breaking things. Rebuilding them better. Women like LaShawndra Vernon of Absolute Pryme and ARTMUVA. Brea Stinson from Stinson Haus Atelier. Serial entrepreneur Vee Taylor-Tate. Women creating on their own terms, defining their own lanes. No blueprint. Just instinct.
The Muses Collection came from that. Not as characters, but as extensions. Of the women who shaped me. The women I grew up watching. The women I stand beside now. Past and present, existing at the same time.
Mythological, but real. Soft when they want to be. Untouchable when they need to be. The kind of women you don’t fully understand, but you feel them.
That’s the point.
